UMarket

 

 

UMarket is a shopping cart created by the University for Departments to accept online payments.  UMarket can be used for selling merchandise, collecting conference registration & fees, or event tickets. The benefits of using UMarket are:

  • UMarket uses University approved branding, but can be customized to look cohesive with your department’s website.

  • The shopping cart is assigned a URL that is department specific.

  • UMarket uses a secure payment page hosted by the Wells Fargo Gateway.

  • All deposits are automatically updated to your department chartfields.

  • Cardholders are sent a confirmation email of their order.

  • Departments are notified when an order has been completed.

  • The department contact has access to transaction history through the UMarket administravie module and through CIS.

  • Access to UMarket uses the Campus Authentication System, and can be role specific. (Editor, Manager, Customer Service)

 

In general, if a payment shows as pending, that either means the individual never entered their card number or their card declined.  However, there is a 1% chance that the system (Umarket) took too long to process the info and the payment did go through even though it shows as pending.

Payment Verification

To verify if a payment was actually made, you will want to look them up in the WFG Credit Card Detail under the Order ID#.  Log in to CIS, go to Finance/Accounting section, then click on the WFG Credit Card Detail tab.  Remember to search by Order ID and not name, some individuals will try to pay a second time if the first payment doesn't go through.

If a payment does not show in the WFG Credit Card Detail section, then no valid payment was made and they need to redo their transaction online.  Also, you cannot search for same day payments.  You will have to wait until the following business day to search any payment.
