IVC: Join Zoom Meetings from UUCE IVC Rooms

Any Zoom meeting’s full invitation details includes “Join by SIP” and “Join by H.323” sections. These are protocols supported by our IVC rooms. Using the Cisco touch controller you would dial the address specified for either of these protocols.

To simplify this process, we’ve added a “Zoom Meetings” entry to each room’s “Favorites” contact list. Just call this entry using the room’s Cisco touch controller, and you will be prompted for the Zoom meeting ID and passcode.

To avoid an audio feedback loop, do not join a Zoom meeting from both the room’s IVC equipment, and a laptop or other device in the same room.

These instructions apply to joining a Zoom meeting. Additional steps may be necessary to host a meeting from the Cisco IVC equipment.

  1. Find and select the “Zoom Meetings” entry in the Cisco touch controller.

  2. Follow the prompts to enter the Zoom Meeting ID followed by #.

  3. Make sure the microphone button on the touch control is green indicating unmuted.

  4. Make sure the tabletop microphone you are using is unmuted indicated by a green LED.

  5. You may use camera icon on the touch controller to control to adjust camera direction and zoom.
