Building & Classroom Information

Continuing Education and the University Connected Learning main location is 540 Arapeen Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84108.

Parking is available in lots to the west and south of the building; no University of Utah permit is required; however, a Continuing Education and University Connected Learning (UCL) permit is required. A UCL permit can be obtained through the Registration & Information Office (RI).

The majority of UCL offices are housed on the second floor with English Language Institute (ELI) on the first floor. Currently, we share this space with the UHungry Cafe, located on the first floor.

18 classrooms of varying type (traditional, art room, and computer lab) span both floors. See UUCE Classrooms and Space Information for a specific breakdown. Scheduling rooms for your classes is done through Astra (on which there are multiple how-to guides). While some Continuing Education classes are still held off-site, the majority occur within this building.

There are also 5 conference rooms available in varying size that employees can make use of for meetings and work time. Employees are able to reserve conference rooms through the corresponding outlook calendars assigned to them.

We have two additional locations in Sandy and St. George.

Sandy Location: 10011 Centennial Parkway, Suite 100, Sandy, UT 84070

Classes offered at the Sandy location include non-credit Lifelong Learning and Professional Education classes, for-credit classes, and ACT Prep.

The Graduate Center at St. George: 1071 E 100 S, Suite A100, St. George, UT 84770

A variety of graduate degrees tailored around the working adult are available in St. George. These programs are held mostly in the evenings so students can finish a program in as little as one year while simultaneously fulfilling commitments to family, work, and the community. Classes are delivered live via interactive broadcast with many courses offered online.
