Adobe Login for Students and Instructors in Continuing Education Labs and Classrooms

As of summer 2109, CECE lab and classroom computers run a version of Adobe Creative Cloud which requires students, instructors, and all other users to a login to Creative Cloud. This is due to the University of Utah's present license for Adobe software. This affects the Creative Cloud suite of applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat Professional, and more.

Here is the procedure to sign in to Creative Cloud.

Open the Creative Cloud application from the start menu in Windows or the dock for Mac OS. It will open to a sign in page pictured below:

If you are a current student or employee:

  • Enter your UNID email address in this form: u0123456@utah.edu
  • Hit enter or tab to continue. You will not need to enter a password. 
  • You will be taken to the University Of Utah's standard authentication page. Enter your UNID and password as prompted.
  • If you are set up with the University Of Utah's multi-factor authentication, you will be prompted for DUO authentication.

If you have your own Adobe Creative Cloud account:

  • Enter the email and password associated with your Creative Cloud account.

At this point Creative Cloud applications will function.

If you do not have a Creative Cloud account

You can create a free Creative Cloud account and use the Creative Cloud applications:

  • Open the Creative Cloud application from the start menu, or from the Creative Cloud icon in the system tray near the clock. It should open to a sign in page pictured above.
  • Select "Get an Adobe ID" linked below the sign in fields. It will open the "Sign Up" dialog pictured below.
  • Enter the information as prompted and follow any prompts.
  • You will then be signed into the Adobe Creative Cloud and ready to use Adobe applications.

Note: You will be asked to verify your birthdate as a seperate popup window.  You will also get confirmation email asking to verify your email address.  You do not need to verify your email address right away.  It's recommended that you perform this step within 24 hours to avoid automatic account termination.
