Who this this article intended for?

This article is intended for anyone looking to review space within the UUCE Building. (University of Utah Continuing Education)

When would I use this article? - Anytime you are looking to reserve classroom space which may include but is not limited to:

  • Meetings larger than conference room capacity
  • When/If conference rooms are booked and you still need space to meet.
  • Instructor or new staff orientation(s)
  • Break-out sessions or class time in addition to scheduled space reserved by your class meeting pattern.
  • Training sessions
  • Reserving conference room 219 after 5pm Monday-Friday or during business hours on Saturday.
  • Meetings that require IVC equipment.

How to check classroom availability

  1. Navigate to the Guest Portal (https://astra.utah.edu/AstraProd/Portal/GuestPortal.aspx)
  2. No Login Needed
  3. Click on Calendars > Scheduling Grids
  4. Choose Calendar: Continuing Education
  5. Filter: UUCE or Sandy
  6. To view a future date use the arrows to scroll to appropriate day


    Or you can use the calendar to select date and click refresh


**Once you find space you would like to reserve please request this space from the Astra User in your vertical. (Here you can find a link to that information.) If that person is unavailable then you may request the space by submitting Help Center task. (Data Team Support> Scheduling Support> General Scheduling Request)

General Assignment Space

General Assignment space is space on the main campus that is controlled by The Scheduling Office.

  • A list of that space can be found on the Scheduling Office's list of "Rooms We Schedule".
  • If requesting space in one of these rooms you must request through the Scheduling Office - They can be reached at (801)581-7854 or scheduling@utah.edu
