University of Utah mobile app for safety, response, and emergency notifications
The official safety apps of the University of Utah and University of Utah Health replaces the previous U Heads Up! app. It maintains the emergency plans, resources, and tip reporting functions and includes a variety of additional features designed with you in mind. It has emergency contacts, campus resources, a virtual friend walk, work-alone check-ins, and more!
The app is available now on the app stores. The Department of Public Safety is collecting feedback from users and campus partners to make updates and improvements for future releases.
PLAN DESCRIPTIONS
Emergency Response Guide: This plan is a digital version of the flip charts we hang in many office spaces around campus.
See Something/Say Something: This plan is a crowd-sourcing tool to tell us about unsafe or hazardous conditions around campus. You can take a picture, add a comment, and send it to emergency management personnel right from the app. See Something/Say Something is not intended to replace 911--if you see a life-threatening or emergency situation, please call 911.
